PlayStation 5: Into Next-gen

The year 2020 was a standout year for PlayStation despite the worldwide pandemic. The PS5, a truly massive piece of machinery, is a welcome upgrade on the PS4 and on existing portal to next-gen gameplay.

The PS5 Caters to both primed and ready next-gen gamers. It is powered by custom eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU and AMD Radeon RDNA2- based GPU which will provide10.28 teraflops of raw graphical power. It has 825GB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD with 5.5GB/S of throughput, where the usable storage is 667.2GB. It supports 3D audio and has three USB ports with an ethernet port on the back of the console.  The disk is remarkably cool and quiet and big enough (390mm x 104mm x 260mm).

There are two versions of PS5, where both models come with same technological guts and one just doesn’t have a disc drive.  The PS5 has a brand-new user interface with many features to make jumping into games more streamlined. Games look better, and players can take advantage of features like 4K, HDR and 120fps. Games run smoother, load faster and are accompanied by new controller, DualShock with adaptive triggers and more subtle vibrations. The controller is considered as Sony’s real star.

The PS5 is a great piece of hardware with faster speed and more immersive controller which all add up to a markedly better experience compared to the PS4. Hence, PS5 is a huge generational leap. PS5 with the new innovative controller has changed the way the players feel.
