Limited Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 Series

GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs deliver the ultimate performance for gamers and creators which are powered by Ampere – NVDIA’s 2nd gen RTX architecture with new RT cores, Tensor Cores, and streaming multiprocessors for the must realistic ray-traced graphics and cutting-edge AI features. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 offers fantastic performance while also keeping its price at the same point that the RTX 2080 Super launched at.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 only has 46% more SMs than the RTX 2080 at 68, which doubles the CUDA core count from 2944 to 8704. The RTX 3080 FE is 33% faster than the RTX 2080 Ti, on average, it’s 57% faster than the RTX 2080 Super, 69% faster than the RTX 2080 FE,  it’s even 26% faster than the Titan RTX. The 3080 really is the flagship of the three, aimed at those who want to play the latest and greatest games at a smooth 60fps in 4K.

Its launch was simultaneously the best GPU launch ever and the most frustrating. The demand for GeForce RTX 3080 was unprecedented. As soon as it was up for sale on its website, the RTX 3080 went out of stock.

There was limited availability of the RTX 3080 to begin with, and NVIDIA didn’t make matters easier by failing to add bot protection on its site. As a result, scalpers were able to use tools like BounceAlerts — an automated bot that allowed resellers to pick up hundreds of RTX 3080 cards ahead of regular customers — to pick up hundreds of cards. Nvidia has finally brought it out of beta and worked it into a fully-featured broadcasting app.
